Permian Production Lubricants is a family-owned company founded in West Texas by Scott Rettberg, a longtime innovator in oilfield lubrication with multiple patents in reducing friction, torque, and drag using advanced cationic EP chemistry.

Our lubricants are
purpose-built for the movement-specific challenges and continuous duty demands of hydraulic fracturing, drilling, energy transmission, well servicing, and power generation, by targeting industry-specific failure modes—like reduced performance, accelerated wear, washout, viscosity challenges, and thermal breakdown—PXP™-blended products reduce NPT, extend equipment life, and lower total cost of ownership.

The family business includes Scott’s three sons -
Chase, Cole, and Christian, who are actively involved in every part of the company, from operations to customer support. Together, they work under the leadership of company COO, Brian Price, a 30+ year industry veteran who brings decades of leadership, strategy, and operational insight to help guide the company's continued growth, including recent acquisitions and strategic partnerships to enhance vertical integration
and high-volume logistics.

Engineered Bonding. Superior Protection. Proven Results.

HOW IT WORKS

Permian Extreme Pressure (PXP) Technology is a proprietary cationic, or positive-charged lubricant additive that changes the way the lubricant package behaves in and around metal surfaces. With the change in molecular charge from negative to positive, the oil is now highly attracted to the negatively charged metal surfaces forming a powerful thin-film adhesive film layer underneath the lubricant body. PXP Lubricants will resist more pressure, heat, corrosion, and damage from abrasives because of their attraction and marriage to metal surfaces where other oils do the opposite.
